John Sickels top 100 prospect list has four Blue Jays

Beginning off with a digression, yesterday I started off to generate anything and our wifi (and Television and mobile phone) went out. Shaw experienced an outage that afflicted a reasonably significant aspect of Calgary and lasted for about 3 hrs. I took it as a signal that I ought to consider a a lot needed working day away.

Our outdated pal, John Sickels, who wrote for SB for several several years, is now crafting for the Athletic. He’s heading to executing a weekly column. As if there weren’t ample motives to subscribe.

His first column is his best 100 MLB prospect listing. There are four Jays on the listing:

#1 Vlad: He says: “Very rare mixture of bat pace, uncooked energy, plate discipline and normal polish belies his age.” He also says he does not feel Vlad defense is “terrible” but he might wind up at first base.

#13 Bo: Figures some of his doubles will transform into homers and that he steals bases with instinct and polish, not pace. May go to next base.

#46 Danny Jansen: “Strong strike zone judgment”. “Throwing requires far more work”.

#74 Jordan Groshans: “Likely a 3rd baseman prolonged term” “Maximal result comp: mixture of Ryan Zimmerman, David Wright and Nick Castellanos.”

He also lists two sleepers for each team. For the Jays they are Samad Taylor and Hector Perez.

Nate Pearson is not shown, I believe John needs to see far more of him.

I’m glad to see that John’s observed a location to go on his crafting career. Really soon everyone will be at the Athletic.
